Create an Event Flyer with a QR Code for Tickets

Design an event flyer with clear dates, venue details and a QR code for tickets or registration. Refine the promotion through conversation.

An event flyer with a QR code connects the event announcement to a ticket or registration page. Lead with the event, date and location, then make the ticket action easy to find. Readers should understand the invitation before they decide to scan.

You can describe the event to BrandGene, provide your actual ticket link and refine the flyer in the Image Agent conversation. The real QR code is added after the design is created.

Create my event flyer

Gather the details attendees need

Before generating the flyer, prepare:

  • Event name and a short explanation of who it is for.
  • Date, start time and any relevant time zone.
  • Venue and address, or a clear statement that it is online.
  • Ticket price, registration deadline or other details you want printed.
  • The ticket or registration URL.
  • Any performer photos, organizer logo or artwork you have permission to use.

Do not rely on a scan to reveal every essential detail. Someone should be able to understand where and when the event happens from the flyer itself.

Write a brief around the event

Create a flyer for [event name], a [type of event] for [audience].
Date and time: [exact details]. Venue: [name and address].
Headline: [headline]. Include [price, deadline or important attendee details].
Use [event colors/style] and [uploaded performer or organizer image].
Add a real QR code for [my complete ticket or registration URL].
Label it [Get tickets / Register here].
Keep the event name, date and next step easy to read.
Ask for missing information before generating.

Make the scan action specific

“Get tickets” and “Register here” tell readers what happens next. “Scan me” does not explain the destination.

Prefer the page for this event over a generic organizer homepage when you have a direct link. Test the destination on a phone: it should show the right event and date, and the checkout or form should be usable for a new attendee.

The QR workflow does not sell tickets or manage registrations itself. It encodes the link to the destination you provide. If the ticket page changes, supply the new URL and create a new static code.

Refine the design before distribution

Review the event name, performer names, date, address and pricing. Ask for specific revisions: “Make the date more prominent,” “Use the uploaded venue image,” or “Move the ticket QR to the lower right so it does not cover the lineup.”

A separate social graphic may need a different composition from a printed event flyer. Request each format deliberately rather than assuming a crop will keep every detail readable.

If you already have an event poster, follow adding a QR code to an existing flyer. You can preserve the artwork and add or reposition the ticket code when a clean source is available.

Check the file attendees will receive

Scan the final download, then check the version you will share in an event listing, social post or message. A code that works in a large preview may be difficult to scan after reduction.

For print, review a physical proof at its intended size and typical viewing distance. Leave a clear margin around the code and avoid placing it over event text or detailed artwork. DENSO WAVE describes the standard QR code's four-module quiet zone.

Include a readable event URL or organizer contact as another way to respond. In digital posts, add a clickable ticket link wherever the publishing platform supports one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the code link directly to ticket checkout? Yes. Provide the complete ticket URL and verify that it opens the correct event before using the flyer.

Can I use a QR code for a free event? Yes. Link to a registration form or event-information page and use a label that matches that action.

Can I update the event date after generating the flyer? Request the artwork change, verify the revised date and reapply the real code afterward. Changing printed details does not automatically update the ticket destination.

Can I move the ticket code after the first version? Yes, when the clean design remains available in the conversation. Specify the code and new location, and state if its size must stay the same.
