How to Add or Move a QR Code on an Existing Flyer

Keep your existing flyer design and add a real QR code for bookings, tickets or your website. Ask for position changes in the same conversation.

To add a QR code to an existing flyer, upload the clean artwork, provide the link and describe where the code should go. You can keep the current offer and design instead of generating a new flyer.

If BrandGene already added a code in the conversation, you can follow up with “Move the QR code to the top-right corner.” The revised image should use the same destination and restore the background at the old position.

Add a QR code to my flyer

Upload the version you want to keep

Use a clean image of the flyer without a code if you have one. Make sure it is the correct version: check the offer, date, contact details and any existing logo before asking for placement.

Supply the full destination URL and an optional label, such as “Scan to book.” Do not ask the AI to guess your booking page from a business name.

Edit my uploaded flyer by adding a real QR code for [my complete URL].
Place it at [preferred location] and label it [optional action].
Keep the existing artwork, offer and contact details unchanged.
If the requested location covers important content, suggest another position.

If the artwork itself needs a new offer, style or composition, describe that separately. Adding a code and redesigning the image are different jobs.

Choose a position that leaves the message readable

Look for a clear area near the relevant action or contact information. The lower corners can work, but there is no universally correct corner. A top-right code may fit one flyer and cover the headline on another.

Allow room for the code, its clear margin and any label. If the space is crowded, choose another position or request a larger layout change. A code should not hide the service, event date or other reason to respond.

You can ask for a discreet appearance that fits a light part of the artwork. The design treatment should follow the message and scan requirements, rather than become another task you need to specify.

Move the code with a follow-up message

In the same conversation, say:

Move the QR code to the top-right corner. Keep the rest of the flyer unchanged.

If you have more than one code, identify the one you mean: “Move the booking code; leave the Instagram code where it is.” Ask to keep its size when that is important. The available space may require another position or a smaller code that remains readable.

Actual consecutive conversation results. The revised code is smaller to fit the available corner, and the old position returns to the original background.

In this test, the follow-up did not repeat the image or URL. BrandGene kept the destination, used the original clean source and moved the code from the lower left to the upper right. The rest of the canvas remained unchanged, and the resulting code decoded correctly.

This is one checked example. It does not mean every requested location will fit every design. Review the revised flyer before distributing it.

Keep the clean version available

A flattened image with a QR code already embedded does not contain a separate background layer. If you upload only that version, moving the code without reconstructing the covered area may require the original artwork.

Continuing in the original conversation helps retain the clean source and destination. In a new conversation, upload the clean image again if it is not available.

This workflow supports language-based requests rather than a drag-and-drop editor. QR placement uses zero credits; generating new artwork or redesigning the background is a separate operation with normal image-generation charges.

Check the revised file

Confirm that the old code is gone, only the intended codes remain, and the flyer still shows the correct details. Scan the final download and verify the destination. For print, also check a physical proof; digital verification does not guarantee every print or camera condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to recreate the flyer to add a code? No, when the existing design has a suitable clear area. Upload the clean artwork and provide the destination.

Can I just say “move it to the top right”? Yes, when the conversation clearly identifies the code and retains the clean source. Name the code if there is more than one.

Will the old code remain visible after moving it? The revised version should be composed from the clean source so the old placement disappears. Review that area before using the file.

Can I move a code in a flyer made elsewhere? Provide the clean original if possible. A finished image with an embedded code alone may not contain the background needed to restore its old position.
