Brand Image Copilot: Chat Your Way to Perfect Brand Ads

You want to create an ad for your brand. You fire up an AI image generator, type in a prompt, and hit generate. The result? A gorgeous image that looks absolutely nothing like your brand. Wrong colors, wrong vibe, wrong everything.

So you try again. And again. And again. Each time tweaking the prompt from scratch, hoping the AI will somehow get it. It never does—because it doesn't know what your brand looks like.

Brand Image Copilot changes all of that. It's an AI-powered conversational assistant that actually understands your brand. You chat with it like you would with a designer, tell it what you want, review the result, and refine until it's perfect. No starting over. No guessing. Just a natural back-and-forth conversation that gets better with every message.

Let's show you how it works.

What Is Brand Image Copilot?

Brand Image Copilot is a chat-based AI image generator built specifically for creating brand-consistent advertising visuals. Unlike traditional "type a prompt and pray" tools, Copilot works through conversation—you describe what you want, it generates an image, and you keep talking to refine the result.

Why It's Different

  • 🎨 Knows your brand — Automatically references your brand colors, logo, tone, and visual style
  • 🔄 Built for iteration — Don't like something? Just say so. The AI remembers everything and builds on previous context
  • 🧠 Powered by top-tier AI — Uses Claude (for understanding you) and Google Gemini (for generating images)—state-of-the-art models working together
  • 📎 Reference image support — Upload existing photos or assets for the AI to work with
  • 💬 Natural conversation — No prompt engineering required. Just talk to it like a person

The Key Idea: Iteration Makes Perfect

Here's the truth about AI image generation: it's really hard to get the perfect image on the first try. Great images need context—what's the mood? What's the setting? What colors should dominate? What should the text say?

Traditional tools force you to cram all of this into a single prompt. Copilot lets you build up context naturally through conversation. Each message adds more detail, more direction, and more precision. The AI remembers everything you've said and uses it to get closer to what you have in mind.

More conversation = better context = better images. It's that simple.

Before You Start: Set Up Your Brand

Before jumping into a conversation with Copilot, we strongly recommend setting up your brand first. This is the single most important step you can take to get great results.

What Is Brand DNA?

When you add your brand to Nano Banana, the AI analyzes and extracts your Brand DNA—a profile that captures everything that makes your brand visually unique:

  • 🎨 Color palette — Your primary, secondary, and accent colors
  • ✏️ Typography style — The feel of your fonts and text treatments
  • 💎 Brand values — What your brand stands for
  • 🖼️ Visual aesthetics — Your brand's overall look and feel
  • 🗣️ Tone of voice — How your brand communicates
  • 🏷️ Logo — Your brand mark, automatically referenced in generations

How to Add Your Brand

Head over to the Brand Ads page and set up your brand in one of two ways:

Option A: Enter your website URL Just paste your website address—the AI will scan it and automatically extract your brand's visual identity. Your homepage works great for this.

Option B: Upload brand images No website? No problem. Upload photos that represent your brand—product shots, packaging, marketing materials, or anything that captures your visual style.

The analysis takes about 30–60 seconds. Once it's done, your Brand DNA is saved and ready to use in Copilot.

Why This Matters

When you start a Copilot session with a brand selected, the AI automatically weaves your Brand DNA into every image it creates. Colors match your palette. The overall aesthetic feels on-brand. You don't have to keep reminding it—it just knows.

Without a brand set up, the AI is flying blind. It can still generate beautiful images, but they won't feel like yours.

Getting Started: Your First Conversation

Ready to create your first brand ad? Here's how to get going in under a minute.

Step 1: Open Copilot

Click Copilot in the top navigation bar, or go directly to /image-agent.

Step 2: Select Your Brand

Before typing anything, look for the brand selector at the bottom of the chat. Click it and choose the brand you want to create ads for.

Important: Your brand selection is locked once you send your first message. If you need to switch brands, start a new session.

Step 3: Choose Your Model

Next to the brand selector, you'll see a model picker. You have two options:

ModelBest ForSpeedCredits
Nanobanana ProComplex text, high detail, premium qualityStandard20 credits
NanobananaQuick drafts, everyday contentFast5 credits

Not sure which to pick? Start with Nanobanana Pro for your first ad—it delivers the best results. We'll cover model selection in detail below.

Step 4: Describe What You Want

Now just start chatting! Tell the AI what kind of ad you need. For example:

"Create a social media ad for my summer sale. Feature our signature product on a bright, energetic background with bold '50% OFF' text."

The AI will interpret your request, factor in your brand identity, craft a detailed image prompt behind the scenes, and generate the image.

Step 5: Review and Iterate

Your generated image will appear in the chat and in the image sidebar on the right. Now the fun begins—start iterating:

  • "Make the text bigger and move it to the top"
  • "Switch to a warmer color palette"
  • "Can you try a vertical layout for Instagram Stories?"
  • "Add our product photo in the center"

Each time you send a message, the AI uses everything from the conversation so far—your brand identity, your previous feedback, and the images already generated—to produce better results.

The Power of Iteration

This is the heart of Brand Image Copilot and what makes it fundamentally different from other tools. Let's walk through a real example.

A Typical Iteration Flow

Round 1 — The starting point

You: "I need a hero banner for our new coffee blend launch. Something warm and inviting."

The AI generates a cozy coffee scene with your brand colors. It's nice, but not quite there.

Round 2 — Adding detail

You: "I like the warm tones, but can you add steam rising from the cup and make the lighting more dramatic? Also include the text 'New Arrival' somewhere."

The AI refines the scene—better lighting, added steam, text overlay. Getting closer.

Round 3 — Fine-tuning

You: "Great! Move the text to the upper left, make it larger, and let's try a 16:9 aspect ratio for a website banner."

The AI adjusts the composition and format. Now it's looking professional.

Round 4 — Variations

You: "Love it. Now give me a square version for Instagram with the same look."

The AI creates a perfectly adapted square version, keeping the same visual language.

Why This Works

In a traditional AI image tool, each of those four prompts would be a separate, disconnected generation. You'd need to re-describe the scene, the style, the brand elements—everything—each time.

With Copilot, context accumulates. By round 4, the AI understands:

  • Your brand's visual identity (from Brand DNA)
  • The scene you want (from round 1)
  • Your lighting and detail preferences (from round 2)
  • Your layout preferences (from round 3)

That's the power of conversation. The more you chat, the more the AI understands what you're looking for.

Choosing the Right Model

Brand Image Copilot offers two image generation models. Picking the right one can save you credits and get you better results.

Nanobanana Pro — When Quality Matters Most

Nanobanana Pro is the premium model, and it's the one we recommend for most brand advertising work.

Choose Nanobanana Pro when you need:

  • Complex text rendering — Headlines, taglines, multi-language text. Pro handles text far more accurately, especially for Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and other non-Latin scripts
  • High detail and realism — Product photography, lifestyle scenes, intricate compositions
  • 4K resolution — When you need large, crisp images for print or high-res displays
  • Maximum quality — State-of-the-art image generation, period

Cost: 20 credits per image (25 credits with brand DNA, up to 40 credits at 4K)

Nanobanana — Fast and Affordable

Nanobanana is the standard model—faster to generate and much lighter on credits.

Choose Nanobanana when you need:

  • Quick concept exploration — Rapid prototyping before committing to a direction
  • Simple visuals — Images without complex text or intricate details
  • High volume — Lots of variations where speed matters more than perfection
  • Budget-friendly work — Everyday social media posts and internal materials

Cost: 5 credits per image

When to Switch

If you're using Nanobanana and the results aren't meeting your expectations—especially with text rendering or fine details—switch to Nanobanana Pro. The quality jump is immediately noticeable. A simple model change in the config bar is all it takes.

Tip: You can switch models at any point during a conversation. Your chat context is preserved—only the image generation model changes.

Pro Tips for Better Results

1. Be Specific About What You Want

The more detail you provide, the better the results. Instead of:

❌ "Make me an ad"

Try:

✅ "Create a minimalist product ad showing our coffee bag on a marble countertop, with morning sunlight coming from the left, and elegant serif text saying 'Wake Up Beautiful' at the top"

2. Upload Reference Images

Have a photo of your product? An ad you admire? A layout you want to follow? Upload it directly in the chat. The AI will use it as a visual reference for generation.

3. Let Your Brand DNA Do the Work

Once you've selected a brand, you don't need to describe your brand colors, fonts, or style in every message. The AI already knows. Focus on the content and composition of the ad instead.

4. Iterate in Small Steps

Don't try to fix everything at once. Change one or two things per message. This gives the AI clearer direction and leads to better results:

  • First message: Get the overall scene right
  • Second: Adjust the composition and layout
  • Third: Fine-tune text, colors, and details
  • Fourth: Try different aspect ratios or variations

5. Start a Fresh Session When Needed

If the conversation has gone in a completely wrong direction, it's okay to start over. Hit the new session button, select your brand again, and try a different approach. Sometimes a fresh start is faster than course-correcting.

Common Scenarios

Scenario 1: E-Commerce Product Ad

You: "Create a product showcase ad for our new sneakers. Clean white background, product centered, with a subtle shadow. Add 'Just Dropped' text in a modern font."

Iterate: "Now add a dynamic background with energy—maybe paint splashes in our brand colors" → "Make it vertical for Instagram" → "Add the price '$129' in the corner"

Scenario 2: Social Media Promotion

You: "I need a Facebook ad for our Valentine's Day sale. Romantic feel, pink and red tones that match our brand palette, '30% Off Everything' as the main headline."

Iterate: "Tone down the pink—it's too bright" → "Add some product images" → "Try a carousel-style layout"

Scenario 3: Event or Launch Poster

You: "Design a poster for our annual tech conference. Futuristic theme, dark background, neon accents in our brand colors. Main text: 'InnovateCon 2026' with the date 'March 15-17' below."

Iterate: "Make the neon glow more prominent" → "Add an abstract circuit board pattern in the background" → "Give me a horizontal version for email headers"

Pricing & Credits

Here's a breakdown of what each generation costs:

ModelResolutionWithout BrandWith Brand
Nanobanana Pro1K / 2K20 credits25 credits
Nanobanana Pro4K35 credits40 credits
Nanobanana1K5 credits5 credits

Brand-enabled sessions cost slightly more because the AI performs additional processing to align the image with your brand identity.

Troubleshooting

"My images don't look on-brand"

  • Check your brand selection. Make sure you've selected your brand in the config bar before sending your first message. If you forgot, start a new session.
  • Review your Brand DNA. Head to Brand Ads and check that your brand profile looks accurate. You can edit it if needed.

"The text on my images looks wrong"

Text rendering is one of the hardest challenges in AI image generation. If you're getting garbled or inaccurate text:

  • Switch to Nanobanana Pro. It has significantly better text rendering capabilities.
  • Keep text short and simple. Short headlines work better than long paragraphs.
  • Specify the exact text in quotes. Tell the AI exactly what words to display.

"The AI isn't following my instructions"

  • Be more specific. Vague instructions produce vague results.
  • Iterate step by step. Focus on one change at a time.
  • Start a new session if the conversation has drifted too far from your intent.

"I'm running low on credits"

  • Use Nanobanana for quick experiments and initial exploration.
  • Switch to Nanobanana Pro only when you're ready for final, high-quality output.
  • Finalize your concept direction through conversation before generating.
